Staff management and sorting
shift coverage is a major home management task.
Many
homes struggle to maintain shift coverage being often driven by staff
availability. Keeping track on staff holidays, absences, training and other
records, especially the number of staff in the average home, could tax the
resources of a dedicated personnel manager. But in the normal home this is just
another hat worn by either a hard pressed owner manager or senior nursing staff
member.

Staff can be sorted by
location, category or grade or any combination therein to give you multiple
roster views of coverage.
The rule of thumb of course is
to have a plan and work from there. Many people roster on the fly and give
themselves ulcers in the process. Its much easier to start with basic shift
patterns and change them as needs demand.

Shift Patterns

Shift patterns can be created
and then edited as desired to generate a normal/desired or ideal work plan.

But as experience demonstrates, the
luxury of being able to pre plan is for the few and many homes we find can
, if their lucky, plan for NEXT WEEK!! Residata handles this as well with
its
Roster
Plan Template
ResiData provides
a
system enabling you to determine quite complex shift patterns for each of your
staff if need be and freely, and daily, if required alter these whilst still
maintaining your basic plan. Basic work patterns can be applied to the
individual staff record but at the same time a staffing requirement or
ROSTER plan can be defined.

Duty
Shift Profiles
Roster
plans are created from Shift Profiles or collections of profiles which
determine the number of staff required for each shift on each day for any
grade or position.
Roster Planner

Positions
can be populated from a the plan editor pick list and when complete
assigned to the roster.
